Job 16

This is the 16th post of my series on Blake''s Book of Job, but 18th in the series from Blake:

Here it seems obvious that Job  and God are fully reconciled.  It's really a signal that you have become 'reborn' when you're seen praying for someone.

"And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his Friends" (Job 42:10)

Another Plate shows Job facing forward in a cruciform pose, leading to the suggestion that "when he sees the reality of Yahweh with his own eyes, he takes on the attitude of voluntary sacrifice:

[5] I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

 [6] Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes." (Job 42:6)
